I was invited to give some talks and sharing information with Pejabat Mufti Labuan last 12 December 2012.
Together with fellow amateur astrophotography enthusiast, Noralip, we talk and guides participants about camera usage, telescope and sky observation in general. The program was successful considering the new relationship we’ve made, plans we would like to discuss and overview of the future in Falak understanding and education in Labuan island, Malaysia.
It’s my first time handling a photography talk, so I only talk about three important elements that I’ve learnt a lot when my LCD screen broken some years ago; ISO, Shutter Speed & Aperture. I decided this program should be simple and easy to digest, to get an early impact among participants, hoping they will find this useful in their job / task in documenting sky observations.
Here’s a short time-lapse I’ve made during our sky observation from 13-14 December 2012. It was also the night where Geminids has been spotted up to 100 in 2 hours.
