Cook to eat

We had this conversation. “Who suppose to cook, boy or girl?”

It started when I asked them to help me prepare with the garnish and protein for our lunch.

I believe I had this conversation with other people, and with myself; to justify if gender play any role in this basic life thing.

And it always come to conclusion, or at least in my conclusion, regardless of gender, anyone who are taking care of themselves, or other people, at least should be capable of cooking. That, or if money is not a problem, and time is precious, then going to restaurant or ‘tapau’ is the best choice. This is always the case during weekdays. So, no excuse on weekend.

As a parent, from my point of view, I would like my children to remember my best dish, so they will always find time to come home and ask me to cook that particular dish when we are getting older.
