Went to our first hike outing in 2024 at Tanjung Kubong. The last time we were here was before the Covid pandemic. That was many years ago.
At first, it looked different. I didn’t recognise all these route. Back then, I used to run uphill and downhill on this course. That was when I weighed 80kg. I repeated the loop many times to built stamina and muscle. At that time, I had a plan; to join a 100km trail race. Anyway, that was then. Now I gained a lot of weight and dealing with stress and depression.
Anyway, we reached the top of Bukit Kubong about 30 minutes. We stopped few times to catch some breathe. I had Covid twice in the last 2 years, so my lung is now down to 80% functional (I suppose). I set my Garmin display to heart rate monitor. This way I don’t push myself to death.

Well, it was beautiful up there. Like it always have.
