Taking the last ferry to Labuan from Menumbok. At first, I thought it would be an easy drive considering we left KK city in the afternoon and stop by at Papar for few hours. However, the traffic jam at Benoni and the road condition all the way to Petron roundabout is really challenging. Pan Borneo is still work in progress on this area. Potholes all over the place.
At this time of writing, I’m waiting for an appointment to send my car for checking, but I suspect I will need to replace all four absorbers – full set. I was planning to do it anyway, considering the car is already 12 years old. My plan is to replace all the necessary item so it can last for another 10 years. I’m a careful driver, because I’’m getting older, and also because I spent 8 hours staring at computer screen during the day.

The thing about boarding ferry from Menumbok Terminal is how chaotic it is. There’s no proper signage, no control on traffic. It really test your patience, especially when you encounter drivers who rushing to get into the ferry. Very kiasu. Like it’s not Fast and Furious thing. The ferry will take about 2 hours to reach Labuan anyway.

Anyhow, the night ferry is relaxing. Actually, any time of the day, the ferry ride is very relaxing. The sea, the islands, the sky. It’s like a long session of staring into the open and let the wind take your worry away.
