Sutera Avenue Infinity Pool, Kota Kinabalu

Going to Kota Kinabalu city these days, you will be spoiled with choice of accommodations. Hotels as the only options to stay in, is already the things of the past. There are many apartments and complex build around town area, providing opportunities to property owners by turning it into a vacation apartment. Honestly speaking, these kind of accommodations in city area helps to ease the cost of travelling in larger group, especially family trip.

We rented one when we visited Kota Kinabalu few weeks ago. Also, it was the comfortable and cheap option available to us. It was school holiday, so we kind of expect booking a good place to stay wont be easy.

Good location

Sutera Avenue Infinity Pool Kota Kinabalu is located across Imago. At this moment, Imago is the most visited shopping complex. Suria Sabah used to be one. But we still go there anyway, because it’s brightly lit, and there are plenty of shops that we fancy to visit. There are many more shopping complex around Kota Kinabalu, but these two are the place we will visit just because we like being there.

Anyway, the arrangement to check in into this apartment can only be set on the Check in date itself. The property owner only provides the details and video instructions on how to check in after you bank in deposit to their company account, and it will be returned in 48 hours after you check out. It was for security purpose, because you will have to go on adventure to pick up the key and find your parking spot yourself without meeting the property owner.

For this reason, I will not tell you why, and I will not share the instruction here. At times, I can only think life will be much easier if we just stay in a hotel. Anyway, I recommend a stay in Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Kota Kinabalu. Plenty of activities for guests – but what I like the most is the snorkeling trip to Pulau Sapi and Pulau Mamutik.

Indeed, the place is comfortable and really suitable for 5 peoples.

Cooking utensils

If you’re travelling in group, this full kitchen would save your money. But looking at the size of the rice cooker, you may need to cook in more than once. These days, eating out is expensive, so this features in an apartment is a blessing. We checked the utensils and the equipment, they’re all clean. Then I remember, an extra Cleaning Charges were added to the price, so it’s just make sense all these are clean.

Place to cook
Electric induction cooker, rice cooker, water heater and microwave.
Iron board and iron and hair dryer

We all need this.

Infinity Pool

The view from this pool is ok. Of course, you’re facing Imago shopping complex and the building at Riverson. But come sunset, the view is beautiful. At peak season, do expect crowds going to swimming pool. When we were there, the security guard had to allocate time for guests to allow everyone a chance to splash into the pool.

If you have to go to the gym, it’s located next to the swimming pool.

Conclusion

Generally, I am satisfied with my stay here in Sutera Avenue. There are convenience shops and restaurants at the ground level, and the next building (walking distance). Who should be here? You. Book your stay here.
