This is my first time visiting Thirumurugan Temple at Membedai to photograph Thaipusam festival with my photography friends. We received warm welcome by the Hindu devotees when we request for their permission to photograph the event.

One thing to remember when visiting place of worship; regardless of religion, is to dress properly. Study in advance what is considered to be rude, for example, wearing sandal or shoe inside the place of worship. Avoid to stand in front of devotee when they’re praying. Be friendly and humble.

Try to study. what’s the event is about, so you can plan what image you want to capture.
