Labuan International Sea Challenge is back after two years of hiatus due to COVID-19. The major event for this year were the Kayak Sprint, Pulau Papan Kayak Challenge and DAIWA Deep Sea Challenge. The supporting events consists of beach sports like beach petanque, beach volleyball, beach fishing competition and various traditional sports organized at multiple venues within Labuan Sea Sport Complex area.

Government bodies and local communities worked together in making this year event great, pulling in major participation from local Labuan. Being stayed at home for the past two years, having fear of mingling in crowd – this time, it was great to see familiar faces in crowd again. It was a big reunion for everyone in Labuan last weekend.
It’s great to see LISC making its comeback. LISC was a major event in Labuan annual calendar event. At some point it managed to bring in participants from South East Asia countries. It definitely will take and cost a lot to bring us back to that level of achievement, but for now, it’s just feel good to see Labuan International Sea Challenge brought us together again.
