Borneo International Yachting Challenge 2010 – Labuan

The Borneo International Yachting Challenge, the first truly international yachting event in the waters off Borneo, is a joint effort of three Malaysian Borneo States, Sarawak, the Federal Territory (F.T.) of Labuan, and Sabah, organised under the auspices of the Malaysian Yachting Association.

This year’s Borneo Race is in its 7th season. Since 2003 we have had an average of 20 boats from all over the world participating, from as far as St Vincent. This year the start of the race has been timed to coinside with the shedule of Sail Malaysia Passage to the East Rally, so it is expected many more cruising yachts will join for some friendly racing.The final schedule will see yachts taking part in the Miri Bay Regatta, Passage Race from Miri to Labuan, a Passage Race from Labuan to Kota Kinabalu and the KK Bay Regatta.

Labuan 10s Rugby Tournament 2010

Labuan 10s is an annual event held by Labuan Rugby Club. This tournament has attracted participation from all rugby clubs in Malaysia, and in early days, the tournament managed to lure participant as far as Indonesia and other countries as well. This year edition witnessing the KK Sharks emerged as a champion.

5th Labuan Sixes Cricket Carnival 2010

The 5th edition of Labuan Sixes cricket Carnival was held at LDA pitch at Labuan F.T. on the 17th and 18th July 2010. 12 teams from Labuan F.T., Sabah, Sarawak, Pulau Pinang and Kuala Lumpur competing against each other of which RMAF Hawk emerged as champion after beating Kelab Sukan Mas during the final.
