LISC 2007 - Closing Ceremony
The ceremony started with the price giving for the winner of IGFA Rolex Labuan Deep Sea Challenge 2007 [Qualifying Event] and Labuan-Brunei International Extreme Kayak Challenge. In his speech, Dato’ Suhaili voices out his appreciation towards the Labuan peoples, contestant and those involved in this year main event in Labuan calendar, the Labuan International Sea Challenge.
After the speeches from the VIPs, and rain pouring down on our head (mind you the open stage was built on the beach, not in close environment) the show started with some cultural dance performed by whoever-they-were.
The show continues with 4 guest artist; Lotter from Akademi Fantasia 4, Ezlynn (last time she performed on the same stage, with fishnet socks and skin-matching tight where everyone thought she was wearing nothing under the tight mini skirt), Ziana Zain, Jalil Hamid (this guy still alive?), Salleh Yaakob and Jeffry Din.
The crowd (mainly ‘tourists without legal papers’) heating the scene, with the natural aromatic and foreign language that worth to learn if you’re into construction business, maid, agriculture and simply hang out at Labuan Supermarket on Sunday morning. No pun intended, but I simply believe we’re moving towards huge population and promising business opportunities for the cheap labor and culture adaptation.
The night ended with the fireworks launched from the sea (from the ship of course) and it marked the end of this year Labuan International Sea Challenge. We’ll meet again next year, with hopes that it will bring more exposure and tourists and income and hot chicks and more opportunities to snap photos and present it to you.
